Veronica Calarco has been completing an arts-based PhD at Aberystwyth University in Wales, UK. She has recently installed her exhibition, and will be showing a film of her exhibition and discussing her thesis with a question and answer session after the film.

Veronica Calarco’s work visualises an endangered Australian language, Kurnai, in relation to a minority language, Cymraeg, which she utilises to displace the dominant language, English with which both languages interact. Working in printmaking, painting and basket weaving, Veronica’s work explores naming, words, myths and sounds realised through the notion of country.

In social class solidarity across Canada and the world.
